Zep Inc. Announces New Board Member, Reports Other Vote Results from Annual Meeting, and Declares Dividend

ATLANTA--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Zep Inc.(NYSE:ZEP) is pleased to announce that Ronald D. Brown was elected to the Company's Board of Directors at its Annual Meeting of Stockholders held on January 7, 2010. Mr. Brown, who was elected to the class of directors whose terms expire at the 2013 annual meeting, is the Managing Director of Taft Business Consulting, LLC. Mr. Brown was previously the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Milacron, Inc.

In addition to Mr. Brown's election, the Company's stockholders re-elected Earnest J. Deavenport, Jr. and Sidney J. Nurkin to the class of directors whose terms expire at the 2013 annual meeting, approved the Zep Inc. Omnibus Incentive Plan, and ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young, LLP as the Company's independent auditors for fiscal year 2010.

Also, at its meeting today, the Board of Directors of Zep Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of 4 cents per share common. The dividend is payable February 1, 2010 to stockholders of record on January 19, 2010.
