ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - February 18, 2009) - Solae, LLC is taking quality assurance and food safety for its innovative soy ingredient products to the next level with two new positions. Today, Solae is announcing Jason E. Mann, Ph.D., as global group leader for Food Safety and HACCP and Hector DeVitre as associate director of Global Quality Control.

In his new role, Mann will be responsible for continuous improvement of food safety programs, including environmental sanitation as well as all Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans. Mann has eight years of food safety experience including training, HACCP plan development and process validation for the food and meat industries. He received a master's degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska, and a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology from Texas Tech University.

DeVitre will be responsible for standardizing and centralizing processes for Global Quality Controls. He comes to Solae with more than 20 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Previously, he was the director of Food Safety and Quality at Agrana. DeVitre received a master's degree in Food Science from Kansas State University.
