DUBOIS, WY - March 26th, 2026 - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) today announced the opening of a public comment period regarding a significant proposed land acquisition in Sublette County, near Dubois. The department aims to acquire approximately 3,734 acres of land with the explicit goal of bolstering habitat for a variety of crucial Wyoming wildlife species, including mule deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, and numerous others.

This acquisition represents a substantial investment in Wyoming's renowned wildlife resources and reflects the WGFD's commitment to proactive habitat management.
