American Apparel Opens New Store in Canoga Park, 30th in Southern California -- LOS ANGELES, April 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

LOS ANGELES, April 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- American Apparel (Amex: [ APP ]), the vertically integrated clothing manufacturer based in downtown Los Angeles, has announced the opening of a new store in the Westfield Topanga in Canoga Park.

The 3,300 square foot location opened at the end of March, north of the company's headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. The store is located on the first floor of the Westfield Topanga, between Urban Outfitters and Hugo Boss . It is the company's 30th store in Southern California, its second in the San Fernando Valley, and company's first new store American Apparel in California since opening in Irvine last year.

"American Apparel is always looking for new opportunities to expand, and to be able to do so in our home region is even better. This is a busy shopping center with great customers and now they'll be able to shop American Apparel without an additional drive," said Marsha Brady , a creative director for American Apparel.

The store will feature a full array of the company's fashionable basics, including its classic t-shirts, sweatshirts, and swimwear. It also offers a full selection of the company's kids line of clothing, as well as an assortment of American Apparel's California Select line of vintage-inspired pieces.

In addition to the Canoga Park location, the company also operates a second store in the San Fernando Valley, located in Studio City. The Canoga Park store will be the company's 20th store in the Los Angeles metropolitan region.
