(OTCBB:LMCO) (Frankfurt XETRA:LL9L)[ www.Li-ionMotors.com ], 21st Century Design & Engineering of emission-free, all electric high speed, long range automotive propulsion systems using the latest lithium-ion battery technology, is pleased to announce that they again topped the leader board for their division in the first week of the finals for the Progressive Automotive X-Prize with an average MPGe of 171.4 for the average of city, urban and highway cycles.

Team Li-ion followed that with a win on Tuesday for the second week of the finals in the combined performance and efficiency 100 mile race, beating out a supercar built by Team Raceabout from Finland by .17 of a second . Team leader Ron Cerven stated, aWe are very proud to represent the USA in finishing first in this event. Team Li-ion was also the only U.S. team to finish the eventa. With the completion of all on track portions finalist cars now advance to laboratory validation of mileage demonstrated at the Michigan Speedway.

Once validated, this win sets Li-ion Motors up for the overall win in the alternative side by side class, representing the USA and a purse of 2.5 million dollars.
