SAGUENAY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 17, 2010) - The management of Arianne Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DAN)(FRANKFURT:JE9N)(OTCBB:DRRSF)(«Arianne» or «Company») is pleased to announce the filing on SEDAR of an upgraded version of the 43-101 Scoping Study for its Lac à Paul phosphorus-titanium project located in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Qc, Canada.
This update was necessary following the disclosure of a new phosphorus-titanium resource estimate on the Paul Zone on March 22, 2010. The following modifications are noted:
An increase in total resources from 304 Mt to 338.5 Mt, that is 78.34 Million tonnes of indicated resources at 7.24 % P2O5 and 7.84 % TiO2 and 260.15 Million tonnes of inferred resources at 5.70 % P2O5 and 7.64 % TiO2 (for the 3 combined zones)
An increase of the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) from 19.95% to 20.8%
An increase in the discounted net present value at 3 % (DNPV) from 306 M$ to 439 M$, i.e. a 43 % increase
An increase of the mine life from 10 years to 13 years
This last data is significant as this scoping study was done with the resources of the Paul Zone only (136.6 Mt). The Paul Zone resources were increased by 36% with the latest drilling campaign. The holes reached a vertical depth of 240 m and the mineralized zone remains open at depth.
The Company plans an additional drilling campaign on the Paul and Manouane Zones during the coming months. The upcoming resources will allow the start of a pre-feasibility study on a project with a minimum mine life of 25 years.
The Scoping Study was performed by Réjean Girard of the firm IOS Services Geoscientifiques Inc. and the resource estimate by Robert de l'Étoile of SGS Geostat Inc. The Study is available on Arianne's website at [ http://www.arianne-inc.com/userfiles/file/phosphore/lacapaul_scoping_en.pdf ] .
