ROWAYTON, CT--(Marketwire - March 6, 2009) - Market & Research Corp. (the "Company") (OTCBB: [ MTRE ]): Gary Stein, President of Market & Research, commented, "Following the conclusion of the quiet period, we felt it was important to update our shareholders, reminding them of accomplishments to date and the steps in which we are currently engaged as we move through this difficult period in our country's economy. We continue to move forward pursuant to the steps we initially outlined nearly 18 months ago. However, each day poses new challenges.

"When we began our process in July of 2007, the economy was robust, the Dow Jones Averages were over 13,000 and both credit facilities and venture capital were readily available. We have executed a much-needed reverse split to bring our outstanding shares down to acceptable levels and coupled that with a 90% reduction in our authorized shares. We also completed name & symbol changes centered on the company's business strategy and spun off our subsidiary, LifeHealthCare, Inc., which spin-off is to the full benefit of our shareholders. We remain on plan and on target to eventually achieve our intended goal of listing on the American Stock Exchange or NASDAQ Small Cap.

"We recently gained approval from FINRA, uplisting off of Pinksheets onto the more stringent requirements of OTC.BB, in part due to our commitment to remain transparent with our shareholders. We are actively engaged with financiers to address our acquisition targets, each of which remains committed to our plan as each has a signed definitive agreement for the Company to acquire them. At the present time, we are reviewing proposed financial packages from different firms. The economic circumstances we started out with are now completely different and more stringent and as a result more creative financing seems essential and evident in order to close each deal. Given the worldwide economic conditions we can't predict exactly when the closings will occur. The uncertainty of the economy and worldwide financial pressure take their toll on the general financing phenomenon and add complexity and time to effectuate the closings."

Martin Licht, Executive Vice President, closed comments by stating, "This has been an arduous process. While we cannot specify the exact closing date for each acquisition, we want to reassure our shareholders that we are in fact moving forward. We will notify our shareholders immediately of each acquisition as it occurs. We are also excited that our new website is nearing completion and is on schedule to go live upon closing the acquisitions."
