A family says they got out of their home just in time after their neighbor's house caught fire early Saturday morning.

The family of a man who was shot and killed by his neighbor in Kansas City, Missouri, after going to ask him to stop shooting his gun in the backyard, expressed their frustration and grief over the incident. The shooting occurred on a Saturday night, and the neighbor, identified as 84-year-old Andrew Lester, was charged with two felonies: first-degree assault and armed criminal action. The family of the victim, 16-year-old Ralph Yarl, who was shot in the head and arm, stated that they believe the shooting was racially motivated, as Yarl is Black and Lester is white. The family's attorney, Lee Merritt, mentioned that they are considering filing a civil lawsuit against Lester. The incident has sparked outrage and protests in the community, with many calling for justice and an end to gun violence.
