Madison is taking a significant step towards addressing its housing crisis with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Triangle Apartments, a new affordable housing development located at 1318 Williamson Street. The Triangle Apartments represent more than just bricks and mortar; they symbolize a commitment from the City of Madison, Dane County, and developer Gorman Companies to tackle the persistent issue of housing affordability. The project is estimated to cost $35 million and will ultimately deliver 108 units across three buildings, catering to individuals earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income (AMI). This translates roughly to incomes ranging from approximately $29,460 to $58,920 for a single person.
