The Ulster County Habitat for Humanity has recently completed construction on a new home in Saugerties, New York, aimed at providing affordable housing to a local family. The project, which began in early 2024, involved numerous volunteers and community partners, including local businesses and organizations that donated materials and labor. The house, located on a modest lot, features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, designed to be energy-efficient and sustainable. The initiative not only addresses the housing needs of the community but also fosters a sense of community involvement and volunteerism. This project marks the 50th home built by Ulster County Habitat for Humanity, highlighting their ongoing commitment to combating housing insecurity in the region.
